Villa Raiano Fiano D’Avellino “Bosco Satrano”

A newly mapped single vineyard Fiano di Avellino.  The grapes for this wine come from a vineyard that overlooks the winery in the municipality of San Michele di Serino in the province of Avellino in Contrada Bosco Satrano, approximately 1,500 feet above sea level with a north-west exposure.  This altitude yields grapes of great quality, wonderful acidity, and aromas of wild flowers, apples, and herbs.   The daytime – night time temperature differences are critical for the unique aromas and acidity. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks and matures there for another twelve months, before spending twelve more months in the bottle.
